Hawaiin lomalla lueskelin aika reippaasti. En jaksanut raahata kirjoja mukanani jenkkeihin joten heti ensimmäisenä päivänä suunnattiin Ala Moanaan ja Barnes&Noble kirjakauppaan. Sieltä mukaan tarttui nämä kolme Emily Giffinin kirjaa ja ne tuli luettua loman aikana. Ihanan sopivaa hömppää lomalukemiseksi.

Something borrowed kertoo Rachelin tarinan. Rachel on nuori lakimies joka työskentelee Manhattanilla. Hän on aina ollut 'se kiltti tyttö', kunnes hän parhaan ystävänsä Darcyn syntymäpäiväjuhlilla päätyy sänkyyn Darcyn kihlatun kanssa. Hän päättää unohtaa tapahtuneen kunnes tajuaa, että hänellä on vahvoja tunteita juuri sitä miestä kohtaan joka hänen tulisi unohtaa. Draamaa ja ihania henkilöhahmoja. Sopivan kepeää lomalukemista.

Something blue on jatkoa Something borrowed kirjalle. Tällä kertaa tarinan päähenkilö on Darcy. Rachelin paras ystävä, jonka maailma järkkyy kun hänen paras ystävänsä 'varastaa' hänen kihlattunsa. Ensimmäistä kertaa elämässään Darcy tuntee olevansa todella yksinäinen ja kaiken kukkuraksi hän huomaa olevansa raskaana. Darcy yrittää päästä takaisin jaloilleen muuttamalla Englantiin vanhan lapsuudenystävän luokse. Tämä kirja on pakko lukea heti aiemman loputtua, jotta saa tietää kuinka tarina jatkuu...

During my vacation I read a lot. Already on a first day me and Jonas headed to Barnes&Noble to buy some books. I bought these three books by Emily Giffin. And read them all during my holiday.
Emily Giffin: Something borrowed
Something borrowed is story about Rachel, a young attorney living and working in Manhattan. She has always been 'the good girl' until she ends up in bed with her best friends fiancé. She is horrified and decides to forget about it. But she cannot stop thinking about him and so story goes on. Good drama and interesting characters. Perfect vacation-reading.
Emily Giffin: Something blue
Something blue is continuing the story of Something borrowed. This time it is Darcy who is the main character. Her perfect life turns upside down when her best friend, Rachel, steals her fiancé. First time in her life she feels lonely and on top of all she figures out she is pregnant. Darcy decides to continue her life by moving to England. You have to read this book (after Something borrowed) so that you know how the story (and their lives) continues.
Emily Giffin: Love the one you're with
Ellen and Andy's life seems to be perfect. Until she meets her ex-boyfriend Leo who once broke her heart. Leo, the one she could never really forget. Ellen begins to question whether the life she is living is the one she is meant to live.
